3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

When you save favorite currency pairs, this information is stored using Android SharedPreferences on your device. This data:

• Remains on your device only
• Is not backed up to cloud services
• Can be deleted by clearing app data or uninstalling

3.2 App Preferences

• Theme selection (light/dark mode)
• Other UI preferences

4. How the App Functions

4.1 Exchange Rate Data

To provide currency conversion functionality, the App:

• Connects to ExchangeRate-API (operated by AYR Tech (Pty) Ltd.)
• Sends only currency codes and conversion amounts
• Receives current exchange rates and historical data
• Does not include any identifiable information in requests

4.2 Internet Connection

The App requires internet access to:

• Fetch real-time exchange rates
• Load historical rate charts
• Retrieve popular currency pairs
• Check for app updates

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 ExchangeRate-API

We use ExchangeRate-API to provide accurate exchange rate information. When you use conversion features:

• API requests contain only currency codes and amounts
• No personal or device information is transmitted

5.2 No Other Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate:

• Analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)

• HTTPS connections for API requests
• No server-side data storage
